Homestead Whole House Remodel

Does this remodel need its own TV Show? Probably. These homeowners called us to help completely re-think how to make their home in the Centennial neighborhood they love function better for modern family living. Built before central islands, mudrooms and work-from-home were part of our mainstream vernacular, the house lacked modern conveniences but in a neighborhood that’s hard to leave. This was a large, whole home remodel: On the main floor, we converted an under utilized living room into a dedicated office with built-ins. We expanded the kitchen into the former dining room to create a space that works for and fits the whole family. The former powder room became a great mudroom and we converted an oversized hall closet to a new powder.

Upstairs was no small project, either. We designed an addition over the garage to create a new primary bath and walk-in closet. This addition allowed us to rework the rest of the upstairs square footage to turn what was formerly a 4 bedroom, 2 bath upstairs into a 4 bedroom, 3 bath with upstairs laundry (yes! Let’s get your laundry out of the basement).  This project was not for the faint of heart, but it transformed a lovely home into a home that truly works for a 21st century family!
