Our Design Process

Designing your home should feel fun and exciting, not overwhelming or daunting. Our process is designed to assess what’s possible for your space and then guide you through each decision with clarity and confidence.

01. First Appointment

An online meeting with your designer to discuss your space. What works? What doesn’t work? We’ll discuss what you need in your space so that we can design a home that works for you. We’ll walk you through our process and share examples of a similar project to help you envision possibilities.

02. On-site Measure

After your first appointment, your designer will schedule a site visit to take precise measurements, building an accurate 3D As-Built model of your space.

03. Conceptual Design

Meet your designer online to see two different conceptual designs, fully rendered in 3-D, for your space. We’ll collaborate to refine options as needed to come up with the best option for how you want to live in your space.

04. Finish Selections

A three-hour meeting at our design center to curate a palette for your home, including cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, and paint colors. Plumbing fixtures, decorative lighting, cabinetry hardware, and appliances are provided by the homeowner and are not included in the selections meeting.

05. Construction Drawing Review & Finalizing

A final meeting at your home to review the detailed construction drawing set. We go through each note to ensure everything you want bid is included. After everything has been approved during the construction drawing review, your designer will provide an updated drawing set and a list of your homeowner-provided items within two weeks along with a recommended vendor list.
