PORTFOLIO / KITCHEN REMODELS

Broomfield Kitchen Remodel

File this under the only client who ever asked us to reduce their storage, but their reasons were legit. This kitchen packed a whole lot of cabinetry into the space, but the layout didn’t function. We flipped the kitchen 90 degrees and made the range wall the focal point. A slab backsplash with quartz ledge above the 48” Wolf gas range gave a polished sleek look, while Zellige tile above the ledge added texture and interest. We added a second window to this wall to balance the room (and eliminate some cabinetry!). The long room called for a double island - one for prep and one for dining, and we used contrasting cabinetry to build a furniture like hutch to help break up that  “so much cabinetry feel”. The end result? A kitchen that was far more functional, and while there’s still plenty of storage, the space certainly feels more intentional and thoughtful and less cabinet heavy.
